OUR MISSION

For many years, I avoided bread altogether. I spent 10 years eating gluten-free after experiencing severe skin rashes and digestive issues whenever I ate bread made with commercial flour. I assumed wheat was the problem—until I discovered freshly milled grain.

What I learned is that modern flour, even organic “whole wheat,” is not truly whole. Commercial milling removes the germ and alters the grain in ways that strip away much of its nutrition and fiber. Freshly milled grain, on the other hand, contains up to 40 of the 44 essential nutrients the human body needs, along with significantly more fiber, healthy oils, vitamin E, and naturally occurring enzymes that support digestion. When grain is milled fresh and used as intended, it becomes a living food again—one the body can recognize and use.

When I began eating bread made from 100% unsifted, freshly milled flour and sourdough fermented, my body responded in ways I never expected. My digestion improved immediately, no more skin rashes, and I was able to enjoy real bread—and real food—again.

Bread has always been meant to sustain life. Scripture speaks of bread often; Jesus calls Himself the Bread of Life (John 6:35) and teaches us to pray for our daily bread (Matthew 6:11). I believe God designed real, whole foods—including real bread—to nourish us deeply when they are prepared with care and integrity.

My mission is to help bring back bread that nourishes instead of harms—bread that supports health and tastes truly amazing. My prayer is that you would make real bread part of your daily diet and experience the benefits of eating bread as God intended.

About Our Products

I carefully select ingredients and design my recipes to maximize nutrition, digestibility, and flavor. Every product that comes out of my kitchen contains:

  • 100% unsifted, freshly milled flour — so nothing is stripped away and the grain’s full nutrient profile is preserved.

  • Organic ingredients — chosen for quality and integrity

  • No seed oils — only traditional fats like butter and olive oil

  • No refined sugars— only lower glycemic index sugars (like honey, maple syrup, and coconut sugar) that contain extra nutrients and antioxidants

  • Naturally leavened with sourdough culture — no commercial yeast— just time, fermentation, and flavor that supports digestion and nutrient absorption

This is bread made the way it was intended: simple, nourishing, and delicious — meant to be part of your daily diet so your body can experience the benefits of real, whole grain nourishment.

How It Works

Every two weeks I'll send out a menu on Friday night to those who are on our Bakery email list. The menu will include items like sandwich bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls, bagels, dinner rolls, or english muffins. Orders will be accepted until Monday at 5 pm. However, orders will be taken on a first come, first serve basis and when the limit for each item is reached, no more will be accepted. You'll place your order by clicking on the links in the email, which take you to our online store. Payment will be due up front using your credit card on file. This ensures that we don't have any waste and that each product I make will have a home!

Pick up for weekly orders will be at our home from our front porch on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. If you can't make this time, let us know to set up an alternate arrangement.

Everything I make is preservative-free, so the items will not last forever! They are best when eaten within about 5 days, though they usually don't get moldy until about 7 days. Leave your items out on the counter in the container you receive them in. Don't ever refrigerate your baked goods, that dries them out quickly. If you can't eat it all within that time, slice and then freeze your items. You can let them thaw on the counter or toast directly from frozen. They still taste amazing, and sometimes even better after frozen!
